Job description and responsibilities:

We are seeking for an experienced Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse.

- we require a thorough current knowledge in all aspects of Neonatal nursing procedures and protocols and has demonstrated competency in this area
- all work is performed on 24/7 rotational assignment of 12 hour shifts consisting of days and nights.
- assist in orientation/training of new nurses under the direction of the Supervisor.

Competencies:  
- Must be competent in caring for ventilated neonates on high frequency vents Procedures
- Assists the Doctor with Chest Tube insertion and umbilical line, blood exchange and lumbar puncture


Requirements:

Education: Bachelor Degree
Specialization, field: - professional nursing education and current licensure as a professional registered nurse. Post graduate certificate in Neonatal Nursing is preferred.

 

Experience: 
- clinical nursing experience post registration in a NICU setting, nursing e.g. paediatrics, midwife

- 2 years of experience

 

Language skills:
English - expert (interpreting)
